“La
vera scelta non e' tra nonviolenza e
violenza ma tra nonviolenza e non
esistenza... / Se
non riusciremo a vivere come fratelli moriremo tutti come stolti".***** *"Io ho davanti a
me un sogno, che un giorno sulle rosse colline della
Georgia i figli di coloro che un tempo furono schiavi e i figli di coloro che
un tempo possedettero schiavi, sapranno sedere insieme al tavolo della
fratellanza./ Io ho davanti a me
un sogno, che un giorno uno stato colmo dell’arroganza dell’ingiustizia,
colmo dell’arroganza dell’oppressione, si trasformerà in un’oasi di libertà e
giustizia. /Io
ho davanti a me un sogno, che un giorno ogni valle sarà
esaltata, ogni collina e ogni montagna saranno umiliate, i luoghi scabri
saranno fatti piani e i luoghi tortuosi raddrizzati...e tutti gli essere
viventi, insieme, lo vedranno. E’ questa la nostra speranza.../ Risuoni la libertà...Risuoni la
libertà ....Risuoni la libertà ....E quando lasceremo risuonare la libertà,
quando le permetteremo di risuonare da ogni villaggio e da ogni borgo, da ogni
stato e da ogni città, accellereremo quel giorno in cui tutti i figli
bianchi, ebrei e gentili, cattolici e protestanti, sapranno unire le mani e

Today (4 April 2008 ) falls on the fortieth anniversary of (4 April 1968) of
one of the most important witnesses of the non-violence of the last century,
the leader and defender of the civil rights of people of color. The
International Movement for Peace and the preservation of Creation, intends
remember this great man who has marked the history, in the words of a 'other
witness, a woman and artist of Peace in our time, which has chosen to put at
the service of Peace Nonviolence and his talent, making it practical (and
therefore not only in words ..) in the daily through the movement from below
and commitment in direct social and civil, for the defence of all rights. Below
is the text of a song dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr., whose words were
inspired by one of its most famous speeches of Leading civil rights of people
of color, Nobel laureate for Peace.
